Abstract: The heat-exchanger and cooling tower are the most important instruments to dissipate heat flux in the indirect-dry cooling system. The key technologies are the efficiency of the heat exchanger and the whole resistance of the heat exchanger and tower combination in technological design of dry cooling system. In this study introduced was a physical model of dry cooling tower with vertical heat exchangers. By the experimental investigation, the necessary parameters were measured, and then these data were analyzed. As a result, the computational formula of the whole resistance coefficient of the heat exchanger and tower combination was obtained. Then the computational formula can be conveniently used in the design of dry cooling tower.
