Evaluation on Safety Impact of Dispersed Water Drawing and Underground Water Supply Along the Banks

Major research contents of this project include:

(1) Conducting a comprehensive survey on the current situation of drinking water sources along Songhua River, and an evaluation on the water quality of dispersed type of drinking water source along Songhua River

(2) Investigating the exploration and utilization situation of underground water resources and the type of drinking water source layer, underground water replenishment, the direction of the runoff and discharge and the type of underground water quality along Songhua River.

(3) Monitoring and evaluation on emergency conditions of nitrobenzene pollutants in underground water along Songhua River.

(4) Evaluation on nitrobenzene pollution condition in underground water before and after Songhua River ice thaw

(5) Research on the environmental activities of nitrobenzene in underground water

(6) Numerical model and forecasting of the movement and transfer of nitrobenzene in aquifer

(7) Evaluation on the safety of the water supply quality along Songhua River

(8) Technical measures of the safety of water supply quality along Songhua River

The major research results of this subject have been applied to deal with the accident of Songhua River pollution by the former National Administration of Environmental Protection (now Ministry of Environmental Protection), and serve as the major reference data and document in support of the eco-environmental impact assessment and the projects for countermeasure to Songhua River pollution, achieving prominent social, economic and environmental benefits.
