Bituminous Mixture for Pumped Storage Power Station in Inner Mongolia
Time: 2014-06-17 | Hits:

Beijing IWHR KHL Co., Ltd supplies bituminous mixture for the upper reservoir of Hohhot Pumped Storage Power Station in north China’s Inner Mongolia.

Located in the mountainous region northeast to the city of Hohhot of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the power station is composed of the upper reservoir, water canal system, underground power plant, and the lower reservoir. Bituminous concrete face was adopted in the whole reservoir basin of the upper reservoir for seepage control, with a total seepage control area of 244,800 square meters, including 101,100 square meters for reservoir bottom and 143,700 square meters for the reservoir banks. The minimum temperature of the reservoir region in Hohhot registered -41.8 degree Celsius. In respond to that, the designed frost crack temperature was lower than or equal to -45 degree Celsius, a new world record.

Beijing IWHR KHL Co., Ltd was mainly responsible for the testing of all bituminous mixture, outlet checking, material production and supply and the construction of part of the face slab.
