IWHR as Editor-in-Chief of Technical Codes for Rubber Dams Engineering

IWHR has served as the chief editor for the national Technical Code for Rubber Dam Engineering (GB/T 50979-2014), which includes general provisions, terminology, planning, design, construction and installation, operation and management and so on, and has been released in 2014.

This code is written based on the characteristics, usage conditions and technical requirements of rubber dams, extensive investigations, a careful summary of practices and experience, and a wide solicitation of opinion.

Generic technical requirements for rubber dam bags were stipulated in the code, while the Technical Code for Rubber Dam Bag (SL 554-2011), which is an industrial standard and also edited by IWHR, should be observed to meet the requirements for performance and quality.

An English version of this code has also been prepared to facilitate the promotion and application of rubber dams in the overseas markets.
