Member of UN Secretary General抯 Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation (UNSGAB) and Global Water Partnership (GWP) former Chair Mm. Margaret Carlson and her colleague visited IWHR and talked about further cooperation on May 16, 2015.

IWHR President KUANG Shangfu met the guests. Also at the meeting were Mr. JIN Hai, deputy director of Development Research Center under the Ministry of Water Resources of China and the representatives from IWHR and GWP-China.

During his welcome speech, Mr. KUANG reviewed the close collaboration and exchanges between IWHR, the host of GWP-China, and GWP as a whole. He thanked Ms. Margaret Carlson for her attention and support to China抯 endeavor of water resources development.

Following Mr. KUANG, GWP-China Secretary General ZHENG Rugang and Acting Chair WANG Hao made presentations about the development and achievement of GWP-China in recent years and China抯 experience in integrated water resources management (IWRM).

Mm. Carlson appreciated the great hospitality of IWHR and highly recognized its achievement in water resources and hydropower. She deems that the efficient and smooth activities of GWP-China play a very important role in promoting IWRM. She believes that, with the great support of Chinese government, China will definitely accomplish more splendid achievement in its endeavor of water resources development. She looks forward to seeing more contributions of GWP-China on the international arena.

Before the meeting, Mm. Carlson paid a visit to the Laboratory of Automatic Monitoring and communicated on the relevant products with the experts.
